Ireland derrota a India en T20 por la mínima en Belfast

The victory at Stormont was secured thanks to Ireland’s total of 154-8, with Harry Tector scoring his 100th international half-century. India-born Jai Moondra struck twice in his first over, removing Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma before dismissing Indian captain Shreyas Iyer.

India fought back after a rain delay, with Tilak Varma hitting an unbeaten 55 and Harshit Rana scoring 21 late on. However, India could not quite chase down the target and finished on 153-9.

This series victory over T20 world champions India is a significant milestone for Irish cricket. Ireland had previously beaten India in an ODI match at Malahide in 2018 but this is their first ever win against them in any format of the shortest version of the game.

Teen Sensation Sooryavanshi Left Out Again

India’s teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was once again left out despite his impressive performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He scored 776 runs for the Rajasthan Royals, including one century and five half-centuries.

The 15-year-old had been included in India’s squad for their white-ball tours of Ireland and England following his stunning displays in the IPL. However, he has not yet made his international debut despite being the leading run-scorer in this season’s IPL.

Sooryavanshi will have another chance to make his international bow when India take on England in the first T20 at Chester-le-Street on Wednesday.
